Frank Zawlocki, Jr., age 71, of Toledo passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005 at St. Anne's Mercy Medical Center. He was born January 10, 1934 to Frank Sr. and Anastacia (Eberflus) Zawlocki in Toledo. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Spicer Sportsman Club, the 25th Century Club and Calvary Bible Chapel for many years. Frank worked as an inspector for Dana Corp. for over 30 years until he retired. He then went to work for the Toledo Zoo driving the train and merry-go-round, where he worked for the last 15 years.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Elma; children: Michael Collins, Julianna (Bruce) Mabee, Nanette (Brian) Marrie; grandchildren: Benjamin, Christopher and Caitlin Mabee, Nicholas and Zachary Apardian, Jenna, Justin, Christopher and Brittany Marrie; his dog Snookie; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive guests at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300) on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 2-8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday at Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd., from 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Andy Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
