Frank Newton, Sr.

Frank Thomas Newton, Sr. age 80, of Sylvania, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Lake Park Nursing Home. He was born August 31, 1927 to James and Rose (Ferguson) Newton in Chicago, Illinois. Frank was employed with the former Seaway Foodtown for many years. He was a member of the American Legion #320, Maumee and Eagles #197. Frank enjoyed boating throughout the Great Lakes with his wife.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Beverly Newton; son, Frank T. Newton, Jr.; grandson, Jason Allen Reissig; sister, Patricia Finney and best friend of 57 years, Fred Kunz. He is survived by his loving daughters, Donna (Greg) Reissig and Sandy (Jerry) Reinhart; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 2-7:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Gary L. Rader.

Frank's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers, especially Holly of Visiting Nurse Hospice for their loving care and support.
