Frank Mark Gelia, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in Flower Memorial Hospital. He was born June 28, 1931 in Jamestown, New York and moved to Toledo in 1952. Frank had a life long career in real estate. He was the founder and owner of Associates Real Estate Company, also known as Frank Mark and Associates. He was a licensed Real State Broker in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Frank taught real state classes for many years. He was born into a talented musical family and was great on the trumpet as a child. Frank was a member of his high school band and often preformed with his mother at PTA and other school functions. He grew up around lakes and enjoyed boating, traveling and loved to jump in the car and go sight-seeing. Frank had a great appreciation of nature and the outdoors. He devoted his life to his 2 daughters, who meant the world to him.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Louis J. Gelia and Elizabeth (Barone) Gelia Conrad; stepfather, George H. Conrad and brother, Robert Gelia. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Traci M. Gelia of Toledo and Victoria E. (Christopher) Wilhelm of Temperance; one grandchild on the way; former spouse and mother of his daughters, Ruth A. Nagle who has been a wonderful friend; nephews, Lewis (Rita) Gelia and Bob Gelia; niece and goddaughter, Carol (Rock) Roscoe and several cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Prayer Service will begin Saturday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4222 Bellevue Rd. Officiating will be good friend Fr. Robert Reinhart. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
