Franklin Jr. Holub, age 93, of Toledo, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1928 to Frank and Martha (Rathke) Holub in Toledo. Frank was a longtime member of the Robinson Locke No. 659 Free and Accepted Masons, which he loved and was truly proud of. He was also a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for many years. Frank worked at Babcock Dairy and then retired from Cain's Potato Chips after 19 years. For many years, he would spend his winters in Florida with his wife Marjorie. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing on his boat and hunting in his younger years. Frank had a great sense of humor, was the biggest smooth talker you could ever meet, but to know him was to love him. He loved spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. Frank's smile, spirit, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Holub; daughter, Cheryl Holub; son-in-law, David Finch; sister, Joyce Lykowski; and brother, Roger Holub. Left to cherish Frank's memory is his daughter, Pam (Holub) Finch; granddaughters, Jennifer (Craig) McDonald and Lori (Frank Moses) Finch; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kennedi, Colby, and Saedeye; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
