Frank Carl Herzog, Jr., a dedicated military enthusiast and beloved family member, passed away on January 15, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on February 5, 1962, in Holland, Ohio, where he developed a profound appreciation for history and military affairs, which he cherished throughout his life.
A proud veteran, Frank served in the United States Air Force, where he exemplified commitment and service. His passion for military history was evident to all who knew him; he loved engaging in discussions, reading extensively, and visiting historical military sites, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with those around him.
Outside of his military interests, Frank was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed traveling to new places. He found great joy in fishing and often spent time at the river, where he delighted in the scenery and the simple pleasure of lunch by the water.
Frank is survived by his brother, Bill (Barbara) Herzog; his sister, Diane (Mark) Stark; and his sister, Karen (Dave) Chumchal. He also leaves behind loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Herzog Sr.; his mother, Evelyn Herzog; and his nephew, Jacob Chumchal. Frank's legacy will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished by his family and friends. There will be no funeral services at this time.
