Luther Franklin "Frank" Agee, age 87, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 8, 1924 in Owenton, Kentucky to Luther and Kate Agee. At the age of seven, after his father died, he and his mother, sister and brother moved to Tiffin, Ohio. Frank lived there until the age of 17 when he moved to Lancaster, Ohio where his mother was living. He played varsity football at Lancaster High School in 1943. Two days after his graduation he joined the U.S. Army Air Force and became a bombardier on a B24 flying in the Pacific during WWII.
In 1952 Frank married Mary-Russell Glazier and they lived in Cincinnati. They had three children, Beth DuVernay, John (Deborah), of Austin, Texas and James, of Portland, Oregon. Frank was employed by Container Corporation of America as a salesman for 30 years. In 1964 they moved to Waterville, Ohio. Frank and Mary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 1, 2012.
At Frank's request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Friends are invited to remember Frank on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
