Francis C. Berning
Francis Berning, age 79, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Lake Park Comfort Care. He was born December 11, 1929 to Ercil and Flossie (Perriot) Berning in Toledo. Francis was employed with John Hancock Insurance Company in sales for more than 30 years. He was also a longtime member of St. Pius X Church. Francis will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen Berning, son, Michael Francis Berning and daughter, Karen Marie Reynolds. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Karen) Berning and Bruce Berning; grandchildren, Korrine Walker; Leilani Berning; Matthew; Jason; Nathan and Steven, brother, Jim Berning; sister Margaret Laderach and Carl Swanbeck.
The family will receive guests Sunday 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services following at 6:00 p.m. Officiating will be Fr. Dick Morse. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Pius X Church.
