Frances Szalay

Frances E. "Fran" Szalay, age 61, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Hospice Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on April 8, 1945 to William and Frances Cumiskey in Toledo. Fran worked for the City of Toledo Water Dept. as a clerk. She was an avid bingo player and she enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dr. Sharon Day. Fran is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kim Szalay; children: Michael (Kathy) Schaffer, Gregory Schaffer and Daniel Szalay; parents: William and Frances Cumiskey; and numerous grandchildren and many friends.

There will be no visitation or services for Fran, per her request. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
