Frances C. (Page) Ammann, age 93, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on February 20, 1920 to Marcus and Agnes (Conmay) Page in Toledo. Frances worked for Gulf Oil as a stenographer for 30 years, later retiring. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where she was involved with several groups within the church. Frances was adored by her neighborhood children, often sharing her favorite candies with them. She enjoyed feeding the birds in her backyard and reading her favorite magazine, Birds and Bloom.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Robert Ammann and Donald (Sheryl) Ammann; seven grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sister, Veronica Kamps and niece, Rebecca Stocker; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ammann, Sr.; six sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 729 White Street, Toledo, OH 43605. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
