Frances A. Black, age 92, resident of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at Browning Masonic Retirement Community. She was born on May 20, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Toney and Anna (Fricano) Stabile.
A loving wife and mother, she loved baking and taking care of her husband and children. Family was number one, especially her grandchildren. Frances was good at just about anything, whether it was painting, fixing household items, knitting, sewing, or crocheting, which she taught herself. She always enjoyed relaxing when she could and reading a good book.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her sons, Steven (Linda) Black and David (Susan) Black; grandchildren, Steven, Mark (Megan), David, and Michael (Brianne); great grandchildren, Olivia, Alexa, Jacob, Kayla, Amelia, Isabella, Brooklyn, and Audrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald Black; and her sister, Phyllis Casertano.
The family would like to thank everyone at Browning Masonic Retirement Community and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the love, care, and support they gave Frances during her stay.
Private family services will take place and burial will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, where Frances will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Browning Masonic Retirement Community.
