Florence A. Griffith

Florence A. Griffith, age 96, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born on October 27, 1919 to Charles and Marie (Bretsch) Entenmann in Defiance, Ohio. Family was everything to Florence, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family will forever cherish the times spent with her. Florence had been a Girl Scout Leader for seven years when her daughters were younger.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert (Sharon) Griffith; daughters, Joan (Harry) Overcashier, Janet (Rob) McClintock and Carol (Mike) Matthews; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and sister, Ruth Lewis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Warren; son, Richard; sisters, Catherine White and Henrietta Entenmann and brother, William Entenmann.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sunshine Creating Community, 7223 Maumee Western Rd., Maumee, OH 43537 or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
