Fern A. Bismark, age 74, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at her home. She was born November 27th, 1935 to Roy and Verna (Williams) Callicoat in Huntington, West Virginia. Fern and her late husband Bill owned and operated the Brown Fox Café, on Laskey and Jackman Roads for several years. She was also a talented seamstress and was known for her ability to turn a simple piece of cloth into a cherished doll for her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Bismark and son, Charles "Chuck" Ward, Jr. She is survived by her loving daughters, Terri (Bob) Baumgartner; Sheila Kremnetz and Kim (Dan) Drake; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and brother, James Callicoat of Chesepeake, OH.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
