Felix "Phil" Kowalski, age 78 of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, May 20th, 2005 surrounded by his family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born July 9th, 1926 to Felix and Rose (Zientek) Kowalski in Toledo. Felix was an Electrician Supervisor with GM Powertrain and retired in 1983 after 37 years. He was a WWII U S Navy veteran serving on the aircraft carrier Bon Homme Richard. Felix was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was his treasure and he cherished the time he spent with them.
In addition to his parents, Felix was preceded in death by his brother, William Kowalski and sisters, Wanda Duffeck and Lucille Ichrist. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ellen L. (Seger) Kowalski; sons, David (Judy) Kowalski and James (Tina) Kowalski; daughters, Karen (Chuck) Ferris and Cindy (Dennis) Rabideau; grandchildren, Erin; Rachel; Ryan; Elyn; Patrick and Kevin; great grandchildren, Sadie; Cassie; Cristen; Alex; Isabel; Micaya and Stella and sister, Rose "Mary" Leonhardt.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
