Faye Sparks

Faye E. Sparks, 86 years old, of Toledo, Ohio went to meet Jesus on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born August 23, 1935 to Leah and Robert Swartz, the eldest of three girls.

Faye worked at Ohio Citizens for many years as a teller and a supervisor in their credit card department. She also worked at Regent Electrical Contractors as a bookkeeper before retiring in 2001.

Faye was a thoughtful and considerate woman who always put others first, and possessed a good sense of humor. She enjoyed sharing funny quips and stories with others. Faye was a good mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She loved working in the garden and feeding the squirrels, and kept both her yard and the inside of her home immaculate. Faye enjoyed many sports and even rode her pony in barrel races at the fair.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her spouse, Don Sparks; son, Robert Sparks and sister, Joyce Swartz. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Sparks; sister, Linda Kessler; four grandsons, Jason (Katie) Sparks, Justin Sparks, Joshua Sparks and Jordan (Danielle) Sparks and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. with services beginning at 6:30 p.m. Officiating is Micah Sutton, Pastor of Five Lakes Church.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Faye's memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Save-A-Pet in Maumee.
