Evelyn Marie "Mimi" Mix, age 90, of Toledo, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Sunrise Senior Care Center. She was born on May 15, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Eva (Bomia) Lundak.
Mimi worked at The Commodore Perry Hotel as a banquet waitress for over 20 years, later retiring. When she wasn't working, in her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, flower gardening and especially bird watching. Mimi was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting anything from blankets to Barbie clothes. Her family will always remember her for her boisterous personality, sense of humor and her love for Ohio State Football.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Elayne (John) MacDonald, Pamela Mix and Cindy Parker (Roger Hawk); grandchildren, Teddy, Lisa (Troy), Bruce (Jessica), Lana, Sara (Bruce), Chelsea (Bill), Christopher, Laurie, Katie, David and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Carly, Rachel, Logan, Trey, Cody, Sophia, Nolan and William; daughters-in-law, Jeanne Mix and Marcia Mix; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Jack" Mix; sons, Timothy and Theodore Mix; four sisters and one brother.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the late Spring or early Summer with an announcement at a later date.
