Evelyn Doris Knack, 85, of South Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 800 S. Detroit Ave. She was born July 16, 1922 to William and June (Fanning) Schmidt in Toledo and attended Libbey High School. A loving wife, mother, friend and comforter, she was always ready to listen, lend a helping hand, and give you her last dollar if needed. Being with her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. Having a fine sense of humor, she loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Evelyn was a faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 45 years and attended the Toledo Central Congregation.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert W. Knack and granddaughter, Natalie Pitzen. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Byersmith; sons, William (Fran) Knack and Robert T. (Judith) Knack; daughter, Veronica Fisher; grandchildren, Randy (Shayna) Knack; Charlene Knack; Philip Knack; Caroline (Martin) Dominguez; "Teedie" Francis and Rob (Salud) Fisher; great grandchildren, Dylan Jankowski; Sirena; Yasenia and Bobby Fisher; Marcos and Sebastian Dominguez and nephew, Jerry (Patty) Hunter and Family.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300).
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. at The Toledo Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 139 Richards Rd., Toledo.
