Eva Pearl Holifield, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Darlington House. She was born July 27, 1925 to Jim and Annie Lee (Brown) Dailey in Evergreen, Alabama. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was a domestic worker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Eva is survived by her sisters, Christana Parrish, of Canton, OH, Martha Sanders and Rosie Williams, of Colombia, OH; brothers, Ulysses Dailey, of Toledo, Charlie and Jimmie Dailey, of Pensacola, FL and Charles, Billie Joe and Emmett Dailey, of Colombia, OH; step-daughter, Jackie Holifield; very special niece, Bettye Jean Brooks; very special friend, Lavern Mosley; and many nieces, nephews and other kind loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests on Saturday from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, 416 Belmont, Toledo, where Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Lyons. Interment will take place Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Forest Cemetery. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
