Eugene Levans

Eugene M. "Gene" Levans, age 67 of Sylvania passed away Friday, April 23, 2004 in his home. He was born July 3, 1936 in Toledo. He was employed with the former Modern Tool for 30 years. Gene had a great love for Lake Erie and spent many enjoyable years fishing and boating through her waters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce E. (Threet) Levans; children, Linda Marsh and Sharon (Jeff) Garverick; grandchildren, Danielle Marsh; Nicole; Rachel; Amanda and Jenna Garverick; brother, Frank Levans and sister, Pat McKee. Also surving are many dear nieces, nephews and dear friends, John Robinson; Leo Preston and Al Harder.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Phil Dale. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
