Eugene T. Carter

Eugene T. "Gene" Carter, age 78, of Toledo, passed away June 21, 2017 at Swan Creek Care Center. He was born May 6, 1939 in Toledo to Wade and Bessie (Clark) Carter. Gene was an accountant with Securities Incorporated for more than 42 years. He was a master fisherman who enjoyed fishing for walleye and salmon. Gene and Carol enjoyed western square dancing.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Carter; sons, Thomas E. Carter and Craig A. Carter; grandson, David T. Marsh; and sister, Eleanor Scheiba. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Winston Carter.

The family will receive guests, Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in Gene's memory.
