Esther Rosilee Thebeau

Esther Rosilee Thebeau, age 68, of Toledo, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born May 25, 1940 to Robert and Esther (Malone) Birmingham in Toledo. Esther graduated from Scott High School, Class of 1958. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #713 and the Lions Club and served as a Den Mother Troop #37 in Ft. Benning, Georgia for several years. Esther was an avid gardener and also enjoyed ceramics and cooking for all to enjoy. She was a true animal lover and loved caring for her many dogs, especially Buddy and Cassie.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Cyrus Burden and second husband, Carlton Louis Thebeau. She is survived by loving children, James Burden; Chris Burden; Steve (Uta) Burden and Tim Burden; Kim Binkley; Sherry Burden; Kelly Hastin; Jon (Eva) Thebeau; Brian (Jackie) Thebeau and Carlton Thebeau, II; 22 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, John and Tom Birmingham; sister, Linda Sharp and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor William Self. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
