Esther G. Bevington, age 91, of Toledo, passed away Friday, November 4th, 2016 unexpectedly but peacefully at her home. She was born October 26th, 1925 to Franz and Esther (Galbraith) Norton in Toledo, Ohio. Esther was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and went on to attend Davis Business and Stautzenberger Business Colleges receiving her degree in Business. She was employed with Phillips Associates Advertising as Vice President until 1974. Esther then became a Broker and owner of Heritage Reality in Michigan and American Heritage Reality in Ohio until 1994. And as if she wasn't busy enough being a mother and career woman, Esther acted as Park Manager for Twinwall Village from 1989-1999, as well as an Independent Contractor for various Real Estate companies doing witness closings until 2011.
Esther was an outgoing charismatic woman who enjoyed meeting and helping people. She loved music of all eras and was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. Most importantly Ester was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, cherishing time spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Esther Duffy and Franz Norton, Esther was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Irv Wymer; stepfather, William J. Duffy and brother, Ray Norton . She is survived by her son, Dennis Bevington; daughter, Patricia Sturgill; Grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicholas, Ryan, Joshua, Breanne and Janelle; 16 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Monday, November 14, 2016 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) where Memorial Services will follow.
