Estella Gilbert

Estella Gilbert, age 90, of Swanton, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Harborside of Swanton Nursing Home. She was born on August 23, 1917 to Marion and Rose Chase in Carp Lake, Michigan. Estella loved to sew and was very spiritual. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Gilbert, daughter, Karolyn Hindes, sons, DuRay and Gerald Gilbert, grandchildren, Barbara Ann, Barbara Jean and Jeff and 3 brothers. Estella is survived by her loving family, daughter, Linda Webster; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
