Estel William Hudson

Estel William Hudson, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1951, in Monroe, Michigan, to the late Dencel Hudson and Ida (Jenkins) Rutland.

Estel was an extreme hard worker. He had owned numerous towing companies throughout his life. Estel was willing to help everyone in need. He was the jack of all trades; he could build and fix just about anything. He was a respected, loveable, selfless person. A people person, Estel was always smiling, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed the moments spent with family, especially cookouts; you never left hungry. Estel was the backbone to his family and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Laurie Hudson; sons, Patrick (Denise) Hudson, James Hudson, Michael (Dee) Hudson, Estel J. Hudson, David Hudson, and William Miller; daughter, Roben Myers; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Susie Coburn and Patricia Hobbs; brother, Fred Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Estel was preceded in death by his three brothers, Butch, Robert, and Jimmy Hudson.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the funeral home, at 11:00 am. Estel will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
