Ervin M. Stone

Ervin M. Stone, age 74, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 8, 1934 to Raymond and Viola (Probus) Stone in Louisville, Kentucky. Ervin was employed with Chrysler for over 30 years until retiring. He was an avid golfer and loved bluegrass music. Ervin also enjoyed traveling. He liked spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Ervin is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan (Misiewicz) Stone; son, Kenneth (Patricia) Stone; daughter, Cheryl Ann (Chris) Kulczak; grandsons, David, Dann, Troy (Shelly) and Shane; great-grandson, Drake Daniel; brothers-in-law, Melvin (Judi) and Robert Misiewicz; sister-in-law, Elaine (Daniel) Doherty; sister-at-heart, Mickie Schuessler; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially all of his bluegrass friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
