Ernest Sirilo

Ernest Sirilo, age 91, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born January 11, 1925 to Mate and Anna (Patrilla) Sirillo in Toledo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Ernie worked in production at General Mills and Willys-Overland and spent leisure time working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Muszynski) Sirilo; and four sisters and one brother. Ernie will be missed by his daughter, Sandy; grandchildren, Evan (Brad) Sullivan, Eric and Ellery Kuhlman; and many friends and family members who loved him and appreciated his sense of humor.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when Ernie's ashes will be laid to rest with those of his wife Rita. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paws & Whiskers Cat Shelter, 32 Hillwyck Dr., Toledo, Ohio 43615 or the Ovarian Cancer Connection, 5577 Airport Highway Suite 206, Toledo, Ohio 43615.
