Ernest "Ernie" Hukalo, Jr.

Ernest "Ernie" Hukalo, Jr, age 91, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on February 3, 2025. Ernie worked for many years as an optician, retiring from both White Haines Optical and Kahn & Diehl Optical. After retirement he continued working at Bedford Hills Golf Course cutting the greens. Ernie loved to be outside, he was particularly fond of his immaculately kept yard. 

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Hukalo, Sr, his 6 sisters, and his 1 brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Eva (Porentas) Hukalo; son, Ernie II; and grandson, Ernest III. 

The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Funeral Service will begin on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
