Erma M. Stowe

Erma M. Stowe, age 92, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Erma was born August 25, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Bertha (Gross) LaGro.

Erma worked as a homemaker, caring for her home, husband, and children. She always made sure the home was taken care of and that there was a delicious meal on the table.

If she wasn’t taking care of her family, she enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, playing cards and dice games, and keeping busy with jigsaw puzzles. Erma liked camping with her family and exploring new places.

Erma was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma ("GG"), and great great grandma; her family always came first. The love and memories that were made will always be remembered. This is not goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Cheryl Presley and Jamie Cole; grandchildren, Anna, Renee (Jeremy), and Kevin (Claire); great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Laith, Malik, Adalyn, Jacquelyn, Hadley, and Cole; great great granddaughter, Amaya; daughter-in-law, Janie Stowe; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stowe, whom she married on June 27, 1950; daughter, Geri Barraco; son, Michael Stowe; and sisters, Bernice Adkins and Mary Roop.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their love, care, and compassion they provided to Erma. Erma’s family will forever be grateful for their comfort they gave.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of services beginning at 1:00 pm. Following the service, Erma will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
