Erma Simrell

Erma E. Simrell, age 82 of Toledo passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 23, 1929 to Austin and Emma (Comsteller) Jacobs in Petersburg, Michigan. Erma was a dedicated employee for 13 years at Mobile Meals where she enjoyed assisting others. She was a great team player and she always had a positive outlook and a smile on her face. Her family will remember her as the loving mother of a set of twins; mother-in-law; grandma; great-grandma; sister and aunt.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Vicki Simrell; daughter-in-law, Connie Simrell; brother, Kenneth Jacobs and sister, Helen Stark; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Simrell; son, Keith W. Simrell ; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family will receive guests Monday 2-8:00 p.m. and Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
