Erin M. Bamford

Erin M. Bamford, age 52, of Toledo passed away on Thursday March 27, 2025, at St. Vincents hospital surrounded by loving family. Erin was born on November 15, 1972, to Mary Krakau and Paul Bamford.

Erin attended Start High School where she graduated in 1992. Erin went on to work at Red Wells, McDonalds, Lott Industries and Triad Residential Solutions where she was on the document shredding team and the cleaning crew.

Erin loved getting out and keeping busy. Erin visited Disney World in Orlando, went on train trips to Chicago, and trips to Columbus. She enjoyed going to Cedar Point, church, the movies, bingo, shopping and loved dances. She enjoyed spending holidays with family and friends. When Erin was not out and about, she would be coloring, doing arts & crafts, watching TV especially “Good Times” and listening to music.

To know Erin was to love Erin. A beloved daughter, sister, self-advocate and friend. Once you met Erin you were considered her friend for life, she’d never forget you. Erin was known for her gift to gab, the queen of “I can’t” or “I won’t”, but would do so and be pleasantly surprised that she could, and she did. Erin will be missed by all, especially her immediate family and Triad family whom she lived with for the last 20 years.

In addition to her mother, Erin was also preceded in death by her brother, David Bamford and sister, Lisa Bamford. She is survived by her father, Paul; stepmother, Judy Bamford; sister, Rachel (Carlo) Cheribini; and two nieces, Genevieve and McKenzie. Erin is also survived by her long-term roommate, Laura.

The family will receive guests for a service on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:30 am at Maumee United Methodist Church (405 Sackett Maumee, Ohio 43537) followed by a luncheon at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Triad Residential Solutions Adult Day Program for future parties, arts and crafts, and outings in Erin's memory.
