Erich Karl Mueller

Erich Karl Mueller, of Woodville, Ohio, born July 10, 1934, Oldenburg, Germany, died Monday, February 25, 2008, in Frankfurt, Germany after a short illness. Married July 25, 1959, to Ingeborg Marie Louis (Wandscher) Mueller. From this loving union were born 3 children. At age 25, Erich and his new bride of 2 months, Ingeborg (Miki) immigrated to America, arriving on September 29, 1959. He retired as a tool and die machinist from GM Power Train and enjoyed being "Snow Birds" with his wife in Florida. Erich touched many lives, many ways. Active and avid member of the German American Festival Society, American Turners, Toledo Scheutzen Verein and Toledo Schwaben Verein. Ever proud carrying the German Flag at Opening Ceremonies of the German American Festival, each year since 1966; always proud of his lavish gardens, and never prouder than when he was dancing with his girl, Ingeborg.

Survived by his beloved wife, Ingeborg Mueller; daughter, Antje Alexander; sons, Andre' and wife, Starla Mueller, and Axel Mueller; cherished "Opa" to 7 grandchildren, Marie, Jessica, Megan and Lauren Mueller; Sonja, James and Maximillian Alexander; sister, Gerda and Gunther Johannes of BC Canada; brothers, Egon and wife, Trauti, Peter and wife, Sophi; sisters, Magda and Waldemar Paulig, and Elfriede Wolf of Germany; brother-in-law, Hans and wife, Regina Wandscher, Toledo, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Erich and Alwine Muller and brother, Heiko of Germany.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment following at OttawaHillsMemorial Park,
