Erica Monique Reid

Erica, 34, passed away peacefully in her Mother's arms into the arms of Jesus, on Monday, August 8, 2016. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio to Candace Yvonne Rietzke on October 18, 1981.
She moved to Toledo with her family in 1987. Erica attended both Oakdale and Glendale Feilbach Elementary Schools, McTigue Jr. High and Roy C. Start High School from which she graduated. She moved to Sunshine Children's Home in the year 2000 and received the best care and love until her passing.
Erica loved her family dearly and her Sunshine family gave her much joy. She loved to swing, listen to music and cuddle.
Erica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carol Yvonne Irwin and Owen Erickson Pickett and uncle, William Marshall Irwin. She is survived by her parents, Candace and Brian Rietzke; brothers, Elijah, Jordan and Zachariah and many other loving family members.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate. Burial will be in Hannibal, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunshine Inc. in the honor and name of Erica Monique Reid.
