Eric Johnson, age 67 of Toledo passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 28, 2003 in Flower Hospital. He was born October 13, 1936 to Richard and Ann Johnson in Wednesbury, England. Eric was a member of the British Royal Army. He met and married his wife Sheila in England. They moved to the U.S. in 1973 and Eric became a citizen in 1981. Eric was a draftsman for Art Iron for over 18 years, retiring in October of this year. Eric was a member of the Moose #1579, the Eagles #197 and the VFW #606. He also loved singing, golfing, fishing and bowling. Eric will be sadly missed by all who came to know him, especially his wife and children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Johnson and father, Richard Johnson. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Burke) Johnson; daughter, Andrea (Rick) Taylor of Ottawa Lake, MI.; son, Spencer Johnson; grandchildren, Dylan and Kylie Taylor; brothers, Alan and Roger Johnson.
The family will receive guests Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Wake Service will follow at the Moose Lodge #1579, Sylvania, Ohio.
