Emmajean Turner passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 97 years old. She was born in Findlay, Ohio on November 11, 1927 to parents Henry Hobart and Esther (Krouse) Struble. She spent most of her years in Toledo, Ohio a child of the Depression Era. She graduated in 1946 from DeVilbiss High School. She married Charles F. Turner post his Naval Service in WWII. They had 2 children, Charles William Turner and Amy Sue Turner-Morgan. Emmajean spent many years volunteering her time and abilities as a den mother, coach, room mother, school reading programs, Meals on Wheels, Patient Representative for the Toledo Hospital and Wildwood Manor House to name a few. She loved sailing, baking, gardening, knitting, kiting, fishing and hosting parties and events. She showed up for everyone, always willing to join in or lead the way.
She adored her husband, Charlie, who sadly passed way too early (1980) leaving her to forge a path without him for 45 years. Her strength and loyalty to those she loved and believed in never wavered.
Her memory will be honored and cherished by her son, Charles W. (Terri) Turner; daughter, Amy Sue Turner-Morgan; grandchildren, Charles D. (Amanda) Turner, Hailey E. (Brenden) Desmond, Matthew E. Turner, Preston B. (Joanna) Carpenter and Charles N. Turner. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren, Alexander (Taylor) Turner, Abigail, Sidney and Samantha Turner, Mikey and Lucas Desmond, Porter Turner, Emma and Dean Carpenter, Paisley Turner and many nieces and nephews.
Emmajean was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Esther Struble; sister, Janet Flaherty; brother, William Struble; nephews, Michael Turner, Robert Webber and Daniel Webber; and sons-in-law, Bruce Carpenter and Tracy Morgan.
