Emma Jean Montri, age 90, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 3, 2017 with her loving daughter by her side. She was born on July 31, 1926 to Elbert and Essie (McCaslin) Marlin in Bradyville, Tennessee. Jean was a longtime member of Flanders Road Church of Christ. Anyone who knew Jean greatly benefited from her warmth, kindness, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Jean leaves behind fond memories that we will carry on in our hearts forever.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul Montri; son, Bruce (Beverly) Hickman; daughter, Cathi (Robert) Lydy; grandchildren, Brett (Lori Amouak) Hickman, Brooke (Jeremy) Buck, Bree (Ben) Russow, Erin (Tom) Boggs and Jenelle (Mark Epley) Lydy; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ella Marlin; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 1 – 2:00 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, Chapel of Peace, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, Ohio 43560 with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace. Graveside Services will follow in the cemetery. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
