Emma A. Povse, age 98, formerly of Wickliffe, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born on October 16, 1915 to Anton and Emma (Schultz) Lucic on the eastside of Cleveland, Ohio. Emma was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Cleveland. She married her husband, Vincent Povse, who was a machinist and owned Bar Products in Cleveland.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Gayle (Bruce Eubanks) Cogan of Cincinnati and Judy (Patrick) Gucciardo of Toledo with whom Emma resided after the passing of her husband; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and sister, LaVerne Skubic. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Cogan; two sisters and three brothers.
A Private Service will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Disabled Veterans of America.
