Emery S. Toth, Jr. age 84, of Toledo, Ohio passed away February 4, 2015 at Elizabeth Scott Nursing Home. He was born June 6, 1930 in Toledo to Emery and Veronica (Sayers) Toth. Emery served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He survived the Chosin Resiviour during the war and was awarded three Purple Hearts. Emery was employed with the Libbey Owens Ford for more than 32 years retiring in 1983. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Emery is survived by his children, Michael (Jennifer), Christopher, Mark (LeAnn), John, Timothy, Patricia (John) Koepfer and Kathleen (Michael) Morse-Frantz; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Huber; and special friend, Josie Wodarski. In addition to his parents, Emery was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Toth; son, Stephen Toth and brother, Thomas Toth.
The family will receive guests Monday, February 9, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where members of the Maumee American Legion Post 320 will conduct a service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 9:15 am. at the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove Ave.. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
