Elmer Berry, Sr.

January 9, 1939 — December 10, 2011

Elmer "Moe" Berry, Sr., 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 10th, 2011. He was born in Battle Creek, MI on January 9th, 1939 to the late Erma and George Berry.

Elmer retired from Oglebay Norton Co. where he worked as a porter for many years. He was a member of Point Place UCC and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Daniel and son, Tracy. Left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 46 years, Marlene; children, Elmer, Jr. "Skip" (Paula), Christina (Mike) Motter, Scott (Mitch); sisters, Maryanne (Ralph) Dominique, Linda (Harry) Reichow and five grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Point Place UCC, 4920 297th St., Toledo. Pastor Jon Komperda officiating. Burial at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Hospice of NWO for the wonderful care they took of Elmer.
