Ella M. Marlin

Ella M. Marlin, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born on February 18, 1924 to William V. and Mabel S. (McCann) Ireland in London, Ohio. Ella was married to Johnnie "Glen" Marlin for 64 years and he preceded her in death in 2013. She worked for A & P Grocery for 25 years and later retired from Seaway FoodTown. Ella was a longtime and accomplished member of T.O.P.S. When not working she enjoyed crafting, traveling with her husband, entertaining in her home and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Joyce (John) Erickson; grandchildren, Gordon (Jennifer) Erickson and Julie (Chad) Hanna; great-grandchildren, Caleb Erickson, Sadie Hanna, Ava and Ella Erickson and Emmett Hanna; siblings, William (Esther) Ireland and Bea Ireland; brothers in law, Delbert Harlan and Paul Montri; many nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Danielle (John) Linfield. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; great-grandson, Isaiah Erickson; sisters, Alice McNeal, Mary Lowman, Doris Poor, Gladys Ireland, Blanche Harlan and Flora Ireland; brother, Raymond Ireland and sister in law, Jean Montri.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour before services.

In Ella's memory Memorial Contributions may be made to ProMedica Ebeid Hospice, Aldersgate U.M.C. or Van Buren U.M.C.
