Elizabeth P. Zmudzinski

Elizabeth P. "Liz" Zmudzinski, age 85, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, November 22, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, with loving family by her side. She was born on January 18, 1936 to Frank and Gertrude (Woelke) Baranek in San Antonio, Texas. Liz was a homemaker throughout her life. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, the outdoors and camping with family. Liz looked forward to her monthly lunches with her high school girlfriends. She was a spitfire, had a great sense of humor and you always knew where you stood with her. Liz loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Zmudzinski, Sr.; daughter, Tammy Zmudzinski; son-in-law, Steve Floyd; and grandson, Chris Hall. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Larry (Kim) Zmudzinski, Jr., Mary (Delbert) Zmudzinski, Linda Floyd, Cookie (Alan) Harford and Angie (Steve) Hall; grandchildren, Max, Tony (Lindsay), Sam (Brogan), Amber (Bryan), Alyssa, Hailey (Sam), Delbert II, Josh, Karl, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Ella, Kaden, Abbey, Luke, and Arlo; and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
