Elizabeth Wood, age 90 of Toledo passed away Friday, October 18, 2002 in Darlington Nursing Home. She was born March 22, 1912 to William and Christine Dunn in Scotland. Elizabeth was employed with the former Tietdke's Department store in the bakery for 35 years. She latter worked at Bassett Health Food Store for 12 years and then provided In-Home Care. Elizabeth was involved with the "Friendship Club" for several years. She truly cherished the time spent with people. Her door was open every Sunday to friends for breakfast. Elizabeth will be remembered for the kindness and love she showed to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband; Peter Wood. She is survived by her son; William John Wood, former daughter-in-law; Dana, 1 grandson, nephews; Donaldson (Caren), Phil (Diane) and Jim (Pat) Wood.
The family will receive guests Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) for a Memorial Service. Officiating will be Pastor Wally Williams. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
