Elizabeth S. Rutter
August 26, 1931 — February 4, 2012
Elizabeth S. Rutter, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Swanton Health Care. She was born on August 26, 1931 to Earl and Dorothy (Johnson) Koester in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Elizabeth worked with the Lucas County Welfare Department in the fraud division for 15 years before retiring. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rutter. Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Linda Bilby and John (Kelly) Rutter; grandchildren, Amanda, Christine, Kay, Melissa and Ericka; great-grandsons, Noah and Matthew; great-granddaughter, Hazel on the way; and sister, Ethel Phares.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider Toledo First Seventh-day Adventist Church Scholarship Fund.
