Elizabeth F. Pierce, age 86, passed away on January 25, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Rosella and Henry Corby.
Betty graduated from Central Catholic, class of '49 and attended socials with Central Catholic alumni. She retired from the Anderson's after 20 years in Customer Service and enjoyed playing cards with her co-workers. She took up sewing and made uniforms for the cheerleaders. Betty was a Girl Scout and brownie leader. She and her husband, Lester would spend their winters in Leesburg, Florida. They also enjoyed traveling with their family including trips to, Colorado, Hawaii, Mexico, Australia and St. Kitts, just to name a few. The family loved getting together for birthdays and holidays.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lester; sister, Patricia and brother-in-law, Bill Abair. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah (Lloyd) Bowser, James Pierce, Nancy (Michael) Bloom, Steven Pierce, Connie Keiser and John Pierce; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo.
The family requests memorial donations be made to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
