Elizabeth Moran

Elizabeth A. Moran, age 85 of Toledo, passed from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2011, into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, joining her husband two days after what would have been their 61st wedding anniversary. She was born November 20, 1926 to Leo and Lenora Kehres. Elizabeth was a member of Cass Road Baptist Church and had previously taught Sunday School at Riverside Baptist Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles, collecting Nativity scenes and baking her delicious homemade pies, especially rhubarb pie. Everyone loved her pies, cookies and finger jello. Most importantly to her was her family, they were her pride and joy. She always put her children's needs before her own and cared for many of her precious grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Elizabeth "Betty" (Bob) Holloway, Kathy Moran, Marty (Jenny) Moran, Diane (Joe) Hacker, Karen (Brian) Cook and Linda Moran; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud (Delores), Bill (Rosie) and Fritz (Mary Agnes) Kehres; many loving nieces and nephews; Sparky and many other four legged friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; 2 sisters, Mary Rita Webber and Theresa Jimison and 2 brothers, Fr. John Kehres and Fr. Paul S.J. Kehres.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Villa and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the care they provided.
