Elizabeth Gayle Merrick

Elizabeth Gayle Merrick, age 66, resident of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Ridgewood Manor, in Maumee, Ohio. She was born on December 18, 1954, in Pineville, Kentucky, to Ray C. and Mary Alice (Napier) LeFevers.

Elizabeth graduated from Sylvania Northview High School. She married the love of her life, Robert Merrick, and together had five beautiful children. Elizabeth loved being a mom; she cherished her time taking care of her husband and children. With her love for children, she babysat numerous children in the Sylvania area. Elizabeth, who had a large cookbook collection, enjoyed cooking and baking. Family was always number one; spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was something she looked forward too. A woman of faith, she was a member of Monclova Road Baptist Church in Monclova.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Merrick, whom she married on June 21, 1972; five children, Jason (Tammy) Merrick, Chad (Kristen) Merrick, Brandon (Justine) Merrick, Heather (Westley) Bockert, Morgan (David) Jones; seventeen grandchildren: Kelsey (Ji) Jeong, Zachary Merrick, Kaylee (Wyatt) Story, Westley Bockert, HN Aidan Merrick, Chandler Merrick, Katelyn Bockert, Bailie Merrick, Jeremy Bockert, Keely Merrick, Kierstyn Bockert, Ailey Merrick, Kaleb Merrick, Dash Jones, Madyn Jones, Makensley Jones, McKendry Jones; two great grandchildren, Cayson Jeong and Paisley Story; mother, Mary Alice LeFevers; brother, Howard LeFevers; and numerous uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Ray C. LeFevers.

Family and friends may gather at the Monclova Road Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Road, Monclova, Ohio 43542, on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with a memorial service at 11:00 am, with Pastor Jeremy Rands officiating.
