Elizabeth "Liz" E. Williams

Elizabeth E. "Liz" Williams, age 85, of Toledo, OH passed away February 21, 2025 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born January 14, 1940 in Maumee, OH to Otto and Margaret (Slessor) Wilbarger. I know as her children, we are very partial. Liz, our Mom, was the best. The most amazing, strong woman in such a frail body; a force to be reckoned with. 

She had a heart of gold and patience without limits. She loved unconditionally. Mom loved to sew, read (she could read a novel in a few days) and knit. Mom donated a lot of her works to the church for the babies. Making monthly trips to donate until travel became too difficult. Mom was a devout Catholic. Her faith was very important. Mom previously worked for Hills and Kindercare. She loved caring for the little ones at Kindercare. Her family was her number 1 priority. She was a daughter, sister, then a wife and mom. She became grandma, mama, and meemaw. She loved many and all loved her. Forever missed. I'm not a writer and so its very difficult to put mom's life into a few short paragraphs. She was an incredible person living an ordinary life and being extraordinary doing it. 

In addition to her parents, Liz was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Williams; daughter, Shannon Graham; sister, Pat Sampsell and brother, Walter Wilbarger. She is survived by her children, Lorna Williams (Paul Auler), Nick (Kim) Williams, Nate (Brooke) Williams and Melissa Farlow; grandchildren, Kelley (Jeremy) McDonald, Tim (Stacey) Amann, Tayler (Katie Leaa) Farlow, Nicholas (Alexus) Williams, Brendan Williams, Anthony Williams, Bryce Williams, Kyle Williams, Shane Williams and Ronin Graham; great-grandchildren, Lilly McDonald, Deagan McDonald, Ireland McDonald, Nicholas Williams, III, Paisley Williams and Spencer Williams. 

The family will receive guests Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2:00 pm. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Prayer Service will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Maumee, Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Liz's memory.
