Elizabeth Grace Ryan

Elizabeth Grace Ryan, age 89, was carried up to Heaven by the angels on Saturday, January 22, 2011. She was born on July 26, 1921 to Bessie and Adrian Anglin in Philippi, West Virginia. Elizabeth was a homemaker and wonderful cook, always finding new ways to cook potatoes, including potato candy. She loved country music, Bingo and spending time with her kitties and at the casino.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry Ryan; five siblings; granddaughter, Pamela Lewis; grandson, James Rice; infant great-grandson, Noah Hart and son-in-law, Oscar Pelland. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mary Lou Pelland, Sandra (Robert) Rice, Ann Voegeli; sisters-in-law, Annette Anglin, Mary Jane Junkins and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Bellavia officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Waterville and HNWO Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Elizabeth during her courageous battle with throat cancer.
