Elizabeth Conley

Elizabeth "Betty" Conley, age 84, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Lake Park Comfort Care. She was born on February 29, 1924 to Joseph and Ida (Vorndron) Nilles in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Betty lived in Pittsburg for many years before moving to Toledo. She often enjoyed going to the casinos in Detroit and Canada. Betty was an avid collector of frogs and was a wonderful cook and baker, best known for her "Rum Cake." Betty also loved family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel W. Conley and several brothers. Betty is survived by her sisters, Gertrude Lytle and Carol Ann (Gerald) Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
