Elizabeth Ann (White) Frome

Heaven gained another beautiful soul on Monday, July 13th, 2020, when Elizabeth Ann (White) Frome, 55, of Toledo, Ohio, opened the pearly gates to her final home. Beth or Beth Ann, as she was commonly called, fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a fighter and beat the odds of most people given this diagnosis.

She was first and foremost a loving wife to Thomas F. Frome. They were married on February 9, 2004 in Las Vegas, one of their favorite places to visit. Another of their favorite pastimes was cruising the high seas with friends and family to get away from the stress of the world. They met at Whiteford Valley Golf Course where they both worked. Beth was the bookkeeper there for 31 years before retiring in 2015. Although Beth did not have any children of her own, she was able to share her love with four stepchildren she gained through her marriage to Tom. She also shared that fierce love with her nieces and nephews as well as other family members. Aunt Bethie will always be loved and remembered by those she doted on.

Beth was born on December 28, 1964 to Don H. and Elizabeth S. White in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Whiteford Schools in Ottawa Lake, MI, from kindergarten until her graduation in 1983. Many of the friends she made in high school are still her friends today. Beth was loved by many and made friends wherever she was in life. She was passionate about friends and family, becoming the hostess of many family/friend get togethers as the baton passed from one generation to the next.

Beth was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2015. Her friends were adamant in 2016 on holding a fundraiser for Beth because she was always helping others, and they wanted to ensure that somehow Beth was given back to in some way. She was ever grateful for the kindness and generosity shown by all those who participated in Birdies for Beth. A special thank you to all who have helped Beth and Tom in any way during this long journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Chmiel and Donna White, her niece Alyssa Haun, and her nephew Justin Haun.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas, her stepchildren Michael J. Frome, Susan Textor (Daniel), Diane Loeb (Thomas), and Lori Layne (Timothy), her brothers John I. White (Cindy) and Robert D. White (Cathy), her sisters Suzanne M. Meiring and Barbara A. White, her nieces/nephews Laurie L. Croft, Angela K. Stoner, Michael J. Meiring, Jr., Katie M. White, Stephen White, and Rachel E. Haun as well as great nieces/nephews and cousins that she thought of as nieces and nephews.

At Beth's request, no funeral is planned; however, a Celebration of Life will be held later.

Donations can be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
