Elijah Emmeth Morrissey, age 8, finished his Earthly journey on the morning of Christmas Eve with his loving family by his side and in the arms of his mother. He was born on December 3, 2013 to Timothy and Samantha Morrissey in Toledo, OH. Elijah was a lively second grader who loved school and hanging out with his best friend, Evie. His favorite thing was playing Minecraft with his family. Elijah also liked Pokemon, Mario, and Ninjago. He enjoyed jamming to music, especially TobyMac. Elijah loved camping, roller coasters and playing board games. He was a fireball who was fearless at how he looked at life, and that was evident in how he handled treatment and everyday life. Elijah loved to wrestle dad, snuggle mom, and coddle his baby brother Silas. His smile, spirit and feisty nature will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Elijah's memory are his parents, Tim and Samantha; siblings, TJ, Gavin, Ian, Emmalyn, Micah, and his most precious Silas; grandparents, Karen and Ed Morrissey, Tom and Paula Rowland and Shawn Weppler; great-grandparents, James Rowland and Jean Fleck; "Uncle," Kevin Jennings; many aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, Ohio (419-392-9500).
