Eleanor A. Ringel

Eleanor A. Ringel, age 94, of Maumee, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Elizabeth Scott Nursing Home. She was born April 7, 1924 to Charles and Mary Domowicz in Toledo. Eleanor was employed at St. Luke's Hospital for many years as a receptionist before retiring. She was a longtime member of Maumee Elks and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Eleanor loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; sisters, Mary McCord and Helen Wojtkowiak. Eleanor is survived by her children, Claudette (John) Bretzloff and Dennis Clixby; 7 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Rita McNeill-Drudge; and 3 nieces and 4 nephews.

The family will receive guests on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 12 – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Graveside Services will be Private at Toledo Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Elizabeth Scott Nursing Home for all of their love, care and support given to Eleanor and her family over her time there.
